September Extras and Outtakes

This is how my September looked! Thank you so much for following along most of it, and I hope to see all of you throughout October as well!

Day #274

Yesterday was filled with productivity, making two long blog posts for your enjoyment, and somehow still making time for some light note taking in between all the things I was supposed and had to do (though I still feel like I’m behind on absolutely everything), working a bit forward. I feel like more and more of my posts are about productivity and I realise that soon enough I have to try something else to get something else to write about.

"Money doesn't buy you happiness"

“Money doesn’t buy you happiness.” It’s something we’ve all heard at some point in our lives, and to a certain extent, it  is true. If you’re not happy with something in your life, throwing money at your problems rarely solves them (unless it’s an issue directly related to money, which leads me to my next point).
Having money doesn’t make you happy, but it does make you have your basic needs met: shelter, food, warmth and your hygiene are kept quite stable if you have a necessary amount of money. But after your basic needs are met, you need to ask yourself the very important question of “do material belongings make me happy?”
Yes, maybe having a cool, expensive car seems like the best thing ever when you don’t have one, but I honestly don’t think a person who feels crappy is going to feel better because they have something expensive to call their own. If you’re not happy with yourself, or your life, no amount of money will change that.
And besides, the most important things in life you can’t really put a price tag on. Family, for example (whether you see family as your blood relatives, your partner or your closest friends) is never with you because of your money or your success. They’re with you because they love, and care about you, something you can never put a pricetag on.
And lastly, let me allow myself to recommend two songs to you, which both reflect on how I feel about success and money, and their importance in the world. Listen to the words carefully.

New Beginnings

It’s the first of October, which means three things. First, the basic thing following every first day of every month: a chance to start fresh and make an extra effort, a bit of a new beginning and a second chance to do things the right way, second; everyone will soon start going crazy about halloween, and third; I can finally start wearing thick, fall inspired clothing without people looking at me like I’m weird. In other words: yay!
Personally, there is only one thing that I hope October will bring me: productivity. I want/need to be productive, alert and make a serious effort this month and there are a lot of exciting stuff happening this month that will take both energy and focus. I have a concert to go to next weekend (something I’m really looking forward to), I’m going home the weekend after that, I have a ton of ideas for blog posts/youtube videos, and in the last days of October, I have an exhibition to attend with my friends in Helsingfors.
I’m really, really looking forward to an exciting October, filled with activities and new experiences. I feel like this is going to be an interesting month, I have high hopes for the following 31 days, and I'm so glad that all of you will be here to share the new things and activities in my life with me!
Also, enjoy this horrible picture of the first fall outfit!
