The Re-Draw

Being really bored, I decided to do a redraw, deciding to combine my old style and the new one, redrawing one of my favorite drawings from about a year ago (the upper one) by making a completely new one (the lower one).

I’m kinda pleased with how it turned out, though the new surrealism style is really hard to combine with the old anime/manga thing I had going on about a year ago. I found out that I actually kind of miss the old style, and I’m thinking of picking it up again. I also haven’t really been drawing too much this past year, but I probably should start soon. There is a strange calm around drawing.

Which one do you like better? I actually like the new one a little bit more, I like how the shape of the tail and the hair turned out, on the first one it looks really unnatural, the second one’s looks a lot softer than the first one. The tail on the first one also turned out a bit too simple and way to curvy to fit with the rest of the body, but the second one seems more proportional, and a little bit more detailed. I think the second one is better, but the first one also has it's charms; for example, I really like the eyes.

  I've actually missed drawing, it's one of the many things I haven't really found the time for in the past year, and I think I actually want to start doing it again. It would be benefitial for me, I think, at least it would be relaxing. And honestly; when I do the next re-draw I'd really like to see a bit more progress than this time, better blending etc.

And also, before anyone says anything; I’m aware that I’m not good at this, I just do it for fun and because it's really relaxing and comforting. I also really like the noise the pencils make when they touch the papers.

A portrait of me

My sister decided to make a portrait of me, anime style. I think it looks adorable. Just look at it, it looks really good compared to the selfie from my snapchat! She even included the hat I got from my brother for Christmas. It's like a perfect anime-version of me. Thank you so much, it made me smile during a kind of crappy evening ^^

This was made yesterday/today (since I started drawing it at like 23:30, and finished after midnight). I really like how it turned out, because I've never really tried to draw fur before. I think it became pretty good for a first try. Also, I like the texture of the horns on his cheeks.
As you've probably already guessed, this is another OC of mine, a mix between cow and man. I've been planning to draw him for a long time, and if you're wondering: no, he does not have a name yet. Suggestions are welcome though! You know how much I likereading the comments you leave and the feedback you guys give me <3

Also, I really need a better method of uploading my drawings to the blog, because the quality is really crappy.

New drawing, my blog and Youtube!

This is one of the more simple drawings I made in the past two weeks, and it's also the only one. I've been slacking on drawing lately, so I decided to do something very simple. This is also one of my many OCs, aka Original Characters, because you know how much I like drawing my own creations.
The only things I really like about this drawing is the small tattoo between his collarbones, and the way his scalp turned out. I like the pattern, the texture not so much.
I hope I'll remember to draw him again, because I really feel like I could do better than this.

On another note, I had a very intense day yesterday, and I'm so tired you would honestly be able to belive I'm a zombie at this point. I'm probably going to sleep for the rest of the day before I start studying biology tomorrow.
Also, for those of you who have asked: yes, there will be a new video on my channel soon. I just need some time to relax and find new ideas, as you probably know, this half of May will be increadibly stressfull for me, because it involves a lot of planning, tests and travelling for me. I hope I'll be able to blog and vlog a little bit more than I've been doing so far, because yes, I've been very stressed and my blog and my channel had to suffer because of that. I'll try to become better at updating, hopefully daily!

Dress Failures

I wanted to try drawing a little more complicated dress (if you've seen my other drawings, you know that the clothes my characters wear tend to become very simple and dull), but honestly,  think this dress became an even worse failure than something simple and dull: it became messy. I'm trying to think of this as something positive though, at least I know I'm capable of creating detailed clothing, if I just try hard enough. But not trying as hard as I did with this dress might be a good idea... I really like the color choices though, but not this many great colors in one dress.
Also, excuse the horrible hair and the way her body is drawn, as you may notice, I didn't focus much on the character.

Underwater

So, I drew this yesterday, and I'm actually pretty proud of it. I like how the hair turned out, and the color choices... It's very rare for me to choose every single color within just two or three colors, this time blue and green.
I like how she turned out, but I'm a little disappointed with the ribcage. I'm going to have to work on that. But this was my first attempt on a rib cage, so honestly, it could have gone a lot worse.
She is, like most of the things I draw, an OC (Original Character), but I don't have a name for her yet, so if you feel like you've got the perfect name, please tell me ^^
Also, I've noticed that it's becoming a more and more regular thing for me to post drawings. I don't know how you guys feel about that, but I love sharing my art with the world. Sebastian

This is Sebastian. I created and decided on his looks today, so as you may have guessed, he's an OC. He's one of the fallen angels in the story, hence the cross on his forehead combined with the devil horns. I also think the piercing in the nose was a nice detail, but it has no deeper meaning; it's just cute ^^
I really like how the hair turned out, This is one of the first characters I've drawn with this kind of hairstyle, so for a first try, I think it's great. I also really like the color choice, I feel like going with the orange/yellow eyes was an excellent choice...I also really like how the shadows on his face turned out, too bad I don't have a camera that's good enough to show them.

Ryuk

So I started watching Death Note, loved the first episode (which is the only one I've seen so far, so no spoilers ;) ), and I got inspired to draw Ryuk. Me and my mediocre drawing skills went right at it, and this is what happened. I'm somewhat happy with the result, but there are some things that could have turned out better.
At least you can tell which character it is, and at this point, I'm happy as long as people are able to do just that. I'm still working on my drawing skills, so if people recognize the people I draw that's just great
