I Went Home (The Vlog)

So here's the new vlog, as promised. (Side note: I am so proud of myself for sticking to the new upload schedule for three weeks in a row, because usually I suck at keeping a schedule and having some discipline).
I'm quite happy with how this one turned out, however it became really long for some reason I don't really understand, it's actually the longest video yet on my channel. But I don't think my videos will keep being this long, like the last one was about seven minutes, and I thought that one was too long (this one clocks out at about 11 minutes, after starting out with almost an hour of vlogging material (how crazy is that)). I can promise you that won't have to look at my face for ten minutes the next time. Other than that, I'm quite happy with the result. (I would have loved to make it shorter, but after cutting out all the things I wanted/felt like I could skip, I just didn't find anything more to remove.)
I also got some "bloopers" from this one, which (at least I hope) will make the recap/extras video for this month more interesting.

Day #289

By now it's really no secret: I don't like football. I'm not a huge fan, I never have and probably never will be, and the only football-related activity I take part in, is watching a game with my boyfriend every now and then. However, about a month ago, I let it slip that I'd come practice with him if he had a ball in town (which, at the moment, he had not) and now when we went home for the weekend he remembered to bring along a ball. So, of course, I had to make good on my promise.
So, today, we headed to Kuppis to enjoy the (for once) nice weather, for some quality time together, and played some soccer. Actually, played is a really strong word, we mostly just kicked the ball around, taking shifts as goalie and goofing around. We finished by jogging once around the field, which made me less out of breath than I expected.
I actually enjoyed it more than I thought I would, but I think it was mostly because I needed the exercise desparetly since I was editing and rendering my new video (which will be uploaded  about the time this post is public, and will be placed on the blog as soon as I can), aka. spending most of the day sitting on my ass. Also, since the weather was awesome, I enjoyed it even more.
Also, look at these adorable pictures (yes, there was a lot freaking birds around, it looked like part of some horror movie) taken right before the sun started setting.

Rick And Morty

Related image   As most of you (at least if you know me personally) know by now, I watch the adult cartoon Rick and Morty. After the finale of season 3, I decided to write a short blog post about the show. Now, I know what Rick and Morty has become, what kind of stereotype that follows the fans and which has destroyed the reputation of the show. But I'm also very proud to say that I don't belong to this stereotype.
As most of you know, Rick and Morty is about the science fiction adventures of the slightly insane scientist Rick Sanchez and his grandson Morty. I'm not going to describe the plot too much, since almost the entire planet seems to know this show by now.
So why do I watch this cartoon? Well, despite the strange things happening in every episode and the odd themes the series touches down on, I find the show to be insanely relaxing. Something about the quite insane themes allows me to no longer be attached to the things actually happening around me, and everyone needs a break every once in a while. I also find the characters to be quite appealing and relaxing, especially Rick. (The family is shown in the lower picture, with one of Rick's invention, the blue meeseeks, in the centre.)
Image result for rick and morty family  So, should you watch Rick and Morty? Would I recommend it? In short; yes. But it takes a very specific type of style and taste in tv-shows to enjoy this show. If you're into strange science fiction and don't care about the stigma that follows the fans of the cartoon, then by all means, watch it. I think it's a great passtime, and I've laughed several times at the childish humor embedded in the series. But if these things don't fit into your description of a good tv-show, then you probably shouldn't watch Rick and Morty and spend your time doing something else instead.

I'm going home! (The other one)

I'm currently sitting on a train on my way back from my weekend away from the city. I'm sitting with Theo as our train runs straight through the surrounding autumn darkness and a small part of me can't wait to get back home to the apartment. Though I'm sure I'll miss everyone at home a lot, I can't help but admit how nice coming back will be. I've missed the city I've started to consider as my own, and I look forward to taking a hot shower.
Don't get me wrong. I loved beeing at home, spending time with my family, relatives and friends was awesome. I already miss them and look forward to seeing them the next time. But it's also very very energy consuming to go home for a weekend. Because if you visit home as rarely as I do, everyone will want to meet you. I feel like I've spent more time around people in the past 48 hours than I've done in several weeks, though it's probably not true. And though I love all the people I spent time with, I'm also looking forward to having some much needed alone time, where I can do something completely by myself, before next week starts up again, and I have to do everything at once. (Also, next week my sister is coming to visit! I'm so thrilled!)
For now, I'll try to relax a bit by listening to some music on the train and not think too much about the things I'm doing the incoming week.
I hope all of you had an amazing weekend!
