Rick And Morty

Related image   As most of you (at least if you know me personally) know by now, I watch the adult cartoon Rick and Morty. After the finale of season 3, I decided to write a short blog post about the show. Now, I know what Rick and Morty has become, what kind of stereotype that follows the fans and which has destroyed the reputation of the show. But I'm also very proud to say that I don't belong to this stereotype.
As most of you know, Rick and Morty is about the science fiction adventures of the slightly insane scientist Rick Sanchez and his grandson Morty. I'm not going to describe the plot too much, since almost the entire planet seems to know this show by now.
So why do I watch this cartoon? Well, despite the strange things happening in every episode and the odd themes the series touches down on, I find the show to be insanely relaxing. Something about the quite insane themes allows me to no longer be attached to the things actually happening around me, and everyone needs a break every once in a while. I also find the characters to be quite appealing and relaxing, especially Rick. (The family is shown in the lower picture, with one of Rick's invention, the blue meeseeks, in the centre.)

If you're into strange science fiction and don't care about the stigma that follows the fans of the cartoon, then by all means, watch it. I think it's a great passtime, and I've laughed several times at the childish humor embedded in the series. But if these things don't fit into your description of a good tv-show, then you probably shouldn't watch Rick and Morty and spend your time doing something else instead.
