The Conjuring 2

The documentation of the Amityville haunting launches paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren’s careers forward, making them known for their work all around the western world. During a seance Lorraine is approached by a strange nun-like figure, which reappears in 1977 as the Hodgsons start experiencing odd things around their home. After Janet, one of the children of the family, is possessed by an elderly man claiming to have lived in the house, Ed and Lorraine are called to investigate the occurrences. However, they find nothing that proves the house to actually be haunted, and Lorraine has another vision of the nun in her husband’s study. Sadly, they deem the haunting to be a hoax by the family, and choose to leave, but as soon as they do, they realise there is indeed something sinister at work in the Hodgson house, much more sinister than simply an old man…

One of the movies that actually managed to scare me, the Conjuring 2 is quite impressive and will get shivers running up and down your spine, but most of the credit would have to go to the demonic nun (at least if you ask me), being one of the few characters on film that have actually shaken my core and scared me properly.

If you, by some miracle, are a horror fan and haven’t seen this movie yet, please do! It’s more than worth it. A good scare!
